Thank you, Kira!

Kira (my sister) and I went shopping yesterday at the Natick Mall for clothes for me to bring. It's a more conservative country than the United States in general, and since I will be working I need clothing that is more... conservative. To date I have knocked off most of what needed to be done, and there is just a little bit left to do!

-Do the living will/medical power of attourney stuff
-Shoe shopping for 1 pair of sneakers and 1 pair of nice shoes to go with my skirts
-Pick up jeans at the dry cleaner
-Go buy some books for the flight
-Figure out movies to put on my ipod
-Buy uno
-Call banks and tell them I am going abroad
-Travelers Cheques

Most of the stuff I'm going to be taking is sitting in our guest room ready to go. Time is going by really quickly, and I'm getting really excited for this trip. Tonight we are going to my favourite chinese restaurant Bamboo because it has the BEST buffet on Sunday nights.

  1. Hey Gabs -- sounds like a lot of fun. And Skype is THE BEST!! just got finished talking with Shaina, she's the one who told me how to get here. Can't believe both of you guys are going to be so far away.... and what's the name of the cheap bookstore??

  2. It's amusing to me that Shaina and I pretty much went opposite directions on really long flights, although mine in total is about 24 hours including a 4 hour layover in San Francisco.

    The bookstore is:
More than Words Cafe, 376 Moody Street, Waltham

  3. Bring your own used books to donate to Words Cafe. It is a non-profit organization created to give troubled teens their first job. It is very well respected. And, your donated used books are sold to keep the store open. A wonderful idea.
